Inyati Safari Lodge

Lodge style Classic bush experience

Charming luxury safari lodge

Inyati Private Game Reserve is set in 65,000 hectares of unspoiled bushveld within the Sabi Sands Reserve, adjacent to Kruger National Park. The lodge is situated on the banks of the Sand River allowing for fantastic game viewing without leaving the camp. Diversity of species and relaxed big game allows for close-up game viewing and photography. With no boundary fences between the Sabi Sands and the Kruger National Park, this reserve benefits from the great diversity of wildlife found in one of the richest wilderness areas on the African continent along with the additional benefits experienced on a private game reserve.

Inyati’s superbly positioned guest sitting and dining areas overlook the Sand River, ensuring scenic vistas across the riverbed. The verandah overlooks the riverine vegetation, which is the natural habitat of the elephant and hippo. Other facilities available - the Warthog hollow bar, library, filtered swimming pool, air-conditioned gym and walk-in wine cellar. The traditional Shangaan boma is a truly memorable way to experience a safari evening under the African night sky. Enjoy fine cuisine and wines while sitting near a warm crackling fire. Inyati consists of seven luxury chalets and four executive chalets. The lodge accommodates only 22 guests. Each air-conditioned chalet features an en-suite bathroom with twin hand basins, separate bath and shower.

Tripadvisor comments Inyati Lodge

Inyati Game Lodge is the perfect place to be when you want to spent some thrilling but also relaxing safari time. The rooms and facilities are superb. We even had a lovely outdoor shower. The staff is overly friendly and helpfull, the service was grand. The rangers and trackers for sure know their job :-) We have seen sooo much wildlife regardless of the prejudice of "you will not spot a lot in summer time due to the vegetation"....! They sure take care of you too :-) Also the food was great and in between drives we enjoyed relaxing at the pool - with the lovely view on the river (and spotting opportunities ;-) )

We spent 3 nights at Inyati over the New Year. This was our first safari and the whole experience far exceeded our expectations. The Lodge is charming with a relaxing atmosphere. Our room, an Executive Suite was very comfortable and the staff extremely pleasant and accommodating. Our ranger Khimbini and tracker Richard ensured we saw the Big 5 and many more within the first two game drives. We were so close to the leopards on many occasions and also baby lion cubs with their parents. At one stage I counted at least 35 elephants, of all sizes, surrounding our vehicle. The “walking safari” was also very enjoyable. Food was very good and we spent the afternoons relaxing around the pool. Would highly recommend.
